Mission Statement:The Chamber will have as its major objective, the economic growth of Paris and Lamar County, and the continued social well being of our community.
What is the Chamber of Commerce? The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, in existence for 100 years, is a membership-based organization that advocates for, and works with, our member businesses. We are approximately 1000 members strong, representing businesses of all sizes.
What Does the Chamber of Commerce do? The Chamber improves our community by
- creating jobs
- implementing beautification programs
- improving education
- lobbying local, regional and state government on behalf of our member businesses
- supporting new and existing businesses
- stimulating economic industrial, commercial and agricultural growth
- promoting quality of life for the entire community
Through the guidance of outstanding business leaders, there is a hundred-year history of accomplishment in Lamar County that is the result of the support and involvement of the Chamber of Commerce.
